ARCATA- With the current city manager of Arcata set to retire at the start of July, the city council will discuss what they will do about the position on Wednesday.
The council will meet in closed session on Monday to decide if they will hire an interim city manager.
The city has already been receiving applications for the position. Mayor Mark Wheetley said that some of those applications have come from within the city. Wheetley said the council has not decided whether or not they will hire from within.
