Arcata Council To Look At Purchasing Downtown Bathrooms
Arcata City Council will discuss purchasing public restrooms and choosing the location for them at Wednesday's City Council meeting. The staff report recommends approving the purchase of a Portland Loo Toilet from the City of Portland and choosing a location for the restrooms downtown.
The staff report recommends three locations for the restrooms: East side of G Street 75' south of 8th Street, north side of 8th Street 160' west of H Street and the north side of 8th Street 200' North of H Street.
The restroom will cost the city 110,00 dollars and the money has already been factored into the 2013/2014 budget. The cost to maintain the public restrooms will cost the city up to 25,000 dollars a year.
The council will meet Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
