Arcata council now considering two locations for public restroom
ARCATA- The Arcata City Council voted last night to get rid of the original location for the downtown public restroom and are now considering two other locations. The council is considering two locations on the 700 block of 8th street one on each side of Veterans Memorial Park.
The city voted unanimously Wednesday night, with Alex Stillman abstaining, to direct staff to review the two options. Staff are required to add the sites to a California Environment Quality Act analysis before the city can move forward.
Council member, Susan Ornelas requested that the item be reintroduced after the city received complaints from neighboring businesses about the original location on the 800 block of 8th street, west of the plaza.
