ARCATA- The City of Arcata is expected to announce the new City Manager Friday morning said Mayor Mark Wheetley.

Wednesday's meeting was adjourned and the City Council plans on picking up the discussion again on Friday at 8:30 a.m. to discuss the open position.

Wheetley said the city is in the final stages and have a tentative offer on the table.

"[We are] looking forward to working out the details and we anticipate this to be a good fit for the city at this time," said Wheetley. "We are excited to move forward."
