ARCATA- The only Homeless Services Provider in Arcata will hold its only fundraiser of the year on Saturday and organizers say every penny raised will count.
The Arcata House Partnership provides permanent supportive housing, transitional living, a night shelter, and a CalFresh outreach program among other services. On Saturday at the Bayside Grange, the non-profit organization will hold its annual fundraiser.
Food will be provided and there will be dancing. Also, a silent auction will be held. People who attend are asked to donate the same amount of money as their age.
"We do depend on our community supporters and we want to say thank you to them and we want to get together and appreciate them. And without the community, we won't have a chance to end homelessness or even start on that daunting task," said Karen “Fox” Olson, the Executive Director of Arcata House Partnership.
The fundraiser starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 11 p.m. The Bayside Grange is located at 2297 Jacoby Creek Road, Bayside, CA 95524.
