The City of Arcata's contract with the Arcata Police Department is expected to be approved by the city council at Wednesday's meeting. The contract agreement between the city and the police association will provide staff with a salary increase over the next two years.
Under the negotiated terms a salary increase of 1.5 percent will start retroactively from July 1st of this year with another one percent pay increase next year.
The contract also calls for a one hundred dollar increase for dispatchers position and a one-time payment to of 350 dollars for each employee.
