Arcata stabbing suspect arrested, victim in stable condition
ARCATA - The victim of Tuesday’s Arcata Plaza stabbing is now in stable condition at Mad River Hospital and her attacker is in custody. 38-year-old Victoria Clark of Arcata was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for assault with a deadly weapon. According to Arcata Police, Clark attacked a 35-year-old Arcata woman around 11 a.m. Wednesday on the corner of 9 and H streets. The victim was stabbed multiple times in her torso. Witnesses provided police with Clark's name after she had fled the scene. Officers located her a few blocks away.
