A 29-year-old Arizona man is in custody after officers located almost 20 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle Friday morning.

Eureka Police said that a concerned citizen called in for a welfare check of a driver of a white Volvo with Arizona plates. Police contacted the driver, Clayton George Adams at the Dutch Bros Coffee on Broadway in Eureka. Officers said that Adams had a warrant for his arrest and was driving on a suspended license. Adams was taken into custody while officers searched his vehicle. They located almost 20 pounds of bagged marijuana inside some suitcases. He faces charges for driving on a suspended license, possessing marijuana and transporting marijuana for sales. Adams had two male passengers in the vehicle and they have been detained and are being questioned.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force was called to the scene and is investigating where the marijuana came from, where it was going and if  there were others involved.
