Armed robbery at Patriot Gas Station in Henderson Center

EUREKA - Eureka Police are searching for a man with a crowbar who robbed a gas station and assaulted an employee in Henderson Center.

Just before 5:30 Thursday evening officers were called to the Patriot Gas Station at Harris and F Streets. An employee had observed a man with a crowbar breaking into the outside cash drawer. When the employee tried to stop the suspect he was hit several times and the alleged thief was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen running west in an alley between D & E Streets.

The suspect is described as a white male around six feet tall with a thin build and about 26 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black "hoody" sweatshirt, grey bandana and jeans.
