Armed Robbery; Suspect stuffed cash into pillow case
EUREKA- The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect that allegedly robbed a Eureka market at gun point taking the cash inside a pillow case.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office the suspect walked into the Bonomini's Market on Little Fairfield Street, brandished a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The department received the report at 9 p.m. Monday night.
The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene westbound on Allard Avenue on foot with the pillow case. He is described as an adult male, tall with a large build, wearing all black including a mask covering his face.
Amy Simpson, a long-time employee of the market said she has never seen an incident like this at the store. "You hear about it everywhere else and it never happens here. This is a little community. Everybody knows each other here., and then you hear about it and you can't believe it," she said.
Will the judge's decision on California's 10-day waiting period make a difference in gun related violence?
