EUREKA- The Eureka Police Department has arrested the two suspects who allegedly fled a home, leaving an infant alone upstairs. Heroin, scales and a loaded syringe were also found in the home said law enforcement.
EPD's Pop Detectives were able to locate and arrest the two in a traffic stop Tuesday after 4:19 p.m.
Mingo Gaitan, 41, and Eleanor Bettes, 31, of Eureka were arrested for child endangerment, possession of heroin for sales and other drug related charges.
The child between 6 months and one year of age remains in protective custody.
