EUREKA- All charges against Eureka Police Sergeant Adam Laird have been dismissed.

Sgt. Laird was initially charged in June for misdemeanor violations of alleged assault dating back to December 6th, 2012, which he pled not guilty to.  Today, the prosecution moved to dismiss the case based on expert witness testimony that there was not enough evidence to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. Shortly after 2 p.m., Judge Marilyn Miles dismissed the case.

Chief Andrew Mlls of the EPD says there are no plans to take Sgt. Laird off of administrative leave as of now.
