Assault in Old Town

OLD TOWN EUREKA - The Eureka Police Department is asking the public’s help in locating a robbery suspect.

Law enforcement officials say a man had given some money to some homeless individuals on the 100-block of 2nd street just after 12:30 Friday afternoon in Old Town Eureka when another man came up and demanded more money. When the victim refused, the alleged suspect assaulted the victim, stole his wallet and began running East on 2nd Street.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, thirty to forty years of age, around 5’8” and medium build. He has brown hair and a goatee. The suspect was wearing a black flat brimmed “Metal Militia” baseball cap and a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
