Attempted murder charge dropped for Silverio Sanchez, new arraignment scheduled
EUREKA- The charge of attempted murder was dropped on Tuesday for the man accused of assaulting a U.S. Forest Service Officer back in March.
Sanchez’ defense attorney and the prosecutor agreed to waive Sanchez’ preliminary hearing, if the attempted murder charge was dropped. Sanchez’ defense also agreed to add special allegations of causing great bodily injury to two of Sanchez’ other charges. Those charges are assault of a peace officer and attempting to elude a peace officer. Sanchez will be arraigned on those charges and two counts of witness intimidation on November 3rd.
