Background investigation process set to begin in search for next Eureka City Manager
EUREKA- Eureka officials have to complete the background investigation process for the three remaining City Manager candidates before one of them is offered the position.
One local candidate and two people from out of the area were interviewed at a closed session by City Council members on Wednesday. A panel of community members and local city managers also interviewed the candidates and made their recommendations to the council.
Mayor Frank Jager told News Channel 3 that city officials will now begin the background investigation process for each of the remaining candidates. An announcement of who is offered the job will not be made until that process is complete. At the earliest, officials could make that announcement during the City Council Meeting on March 4th.
