A clothing store in Old Town Eureka was robbed just after six this evening. Eureka Police report a woman who was browsing in the Belle Starr clothing store, at 405 Second Street brought some clothes up to the clerk to hold. She then asked for change and when the clerk opened the register, demanded all the money. Because the woman held one hand in her pocket and possibly held a weapon, the clerk gave an undetermined amount of cash from the till.
The alleged thief is described as transient in appearance , around 5’2” with a medium build, no teeth and shaved eyebrows with a possible first name of Judy. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Eureka Police Department at (707) 441-4044.
