Bergel pulls ahead of Newman for Eureka's 3rd Ward
EUREKA- Updated election results show Kim Bergel now leading Mike Newman by 46 votes for the 3rd Ward Seat of the Eureka City Council.
According to updated results, Bergel is ahead by 50 percent of votes, to Newmans 49. Following election night, Newman appeared to be in the lead.

Measure S, the $50 million school bond measure for Eureka City Schools needs 50 % of votes to pass that still appears to be pulling through.
Measure Y, a $2.5million bond for Jacoby Creek School District, is still just a handful of votes shy of passing.
The results are not final, but include all counted ballots. Votes will be finalized on December 2. An official canvas is currently underway to ensure that all votes were counted and reported correctly.
