Blue Lake to grow art and business in city
BLUE LAKE- Business owners, city officials and residents are working to develop the Blue Lake industrial park to attract more artists and businesses into the area. The different groups are working on funding that will fill the industrial park and create economic development in the area.
Executive Director of Humboldt Made, Angeline Schwab, said Blue Lake is an ideal location for economic development.
Several Humboldt Made businesses are located in Blue Lake along with Dell'Arte. "When you put lots of people in proximity, especially in Humboldt County, creativity and innovation happen," said Schwab.
Schwab said Blue Lake has the ability to attract artists and people into the area, which then brings more businesses into the area.
Blue Lake stakeholders will apply for grant funding that will put the infrastructure in place to create more opportunities for businesses.
