Board of Supervisors to consider increasing billing rates for ambulance services
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors has a full agenda tomorrow.
One item to be discussed is a recommendation for the board to approve and authorize an increase in billing rates for ambulance services in Eureka, Fortuna and Garberville.
The rate increase will raise specific services anywhere from 10 to 134%.
This upsurge will pay for an increase in paramedic personnel and EMTs, two additional ambulances and will replace and upgrade the existing dispatch repeaters and base station radios.
The board will also be hearing a cannabis cultivation tax collection letter of support, which recommends providing flexibility to cultivators on how they will remit their taxes.
We will keep you updated on these agenda items and more.
