Board of Supervisors to discuss cap on campaign finance funds
NORTH COAST- With the upcoming 2014 election around the corner, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors will discuss a campaign finance reform at tomorrow’s meeting.
Currently the county has no cap for donations or monetary contributions made to a specific campaign, however, some have said without a cap on funds, political races can become unfair. On Tuesday the board will discuss a possible cap or new policy or ordinance to control campaign finances. If you are interested in attending the public session it begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. in the supervisors chambers at the Humboldt County Courthouse.
Would you support a bill that would prevent state agencies from disclosing citizen information to federal agents without a warrant?
