Bodhi Tree held to answer on murder charges, judge rules sufficient evidence
EUREKA- Bodhi Tree will be held to answer for the murder charges against him, that’s the findings from the judge after four days of preliminary hearings.
The hearings wrapped up Monday, after testimony from the man who drove Bodhi Tree from Arcata to Eureka and back the night Rhett August was shot on J Street. Some Arcata residents also testified; a tenant of the Eye Street home where Christina Schwarz and Alan “Sunshine” Marcet were shot confirmed a lot of the details testified by other witnesses. Two other men testified seeing a man in bulky sweatshirt type clothing get angry outside, then walk back to the Eye Street home where the shooting happened.
Next on the court calendar is an arraignment on the information from these hearings, in mid October.
