Two bottle bombs are found in McKinleyville over the weekend.
Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies located two plastic bottles wrapped in black tape Saturday night near the football field’s south bleachers. They recognized the items as bottle bombs and contacted an explosive ordinance disposal deputy who rendered the bombs safe. The Sheriff’s Department says these types of devices can cause severe injuries including chemical burns, eye irritation or blindness, limb and facial damage and hearing loss.
