The Bureau sent staff after tribal members spoke with Secretary of Interior, Sally Jewell, in Redding to discuss their concerns along the river. The staff toured the area with officials from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife and officials from the National Marine Fisheries Services. Fifth District Supervisor Ryan Sundberg also attended the meeting.
The Bureau said the Secretary sent staff members to asses the conditions of the river in person. Tribal members hope this will force the Bureau to release additional water into the Trinity
