CRESCENT CITY- A Medford man has been arrested for a burglary at home on Kings Valley Road just outside of Crescent City.
A new deputy to the Del Norte County Sheriff's Department, on his last day of training was called to the home with a burglary alarm. When he arrived he saw that the motion censor was activated and that the side door to the garage was busted in.
A man appeared and allegedly ran from the garage toward deputy, the deputy was able to chase him over a wired fence and through a berry field.
Jonathan Kane Harris was arrested. He was taken into custody for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and vandalism.
