CA. Cannabis Voice Humboldt to hold meeting on ordinance

Blue Lake - A forum to discuss the recent cannabis ordinance and foster more community involvement will be held tomorrow in Blue Lake.

California Cannabis Voice Humboldt is hosting the event at Blue Lake Casino’s Sapphire Palace at 6 pm. Officials say it is vital to involve the community. With much of the state gearing up for an effort to legalize marijuana in 2016, Cannabis Voice Humboldt’s goal is to launch the county into an era without cannabis prohibition. If Humboldt isn’t organized with leadership in the cultivation industry, legalization could strip the county of billions when corporations take over the industry.

The event is the beginning of a public comment period to inform stakeholders how to proceed with fine tuning the ordinance before the draft is signed at the end of the year.
