CALFIRE and US Forest Service team up with CR for fire line training
EUREKA- To prepare for the upcoming 2014 fire season the U.S. Forest Service and CALFIRE is partnering up with College of the Redwoods to educate private sector vendors on fire line safety. College of the Redwoods is offering several courses in Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte County.
The classes are for bulldozer operators, water tenders and other drivers and mechanics that could be hired by the different agencies to help assist in fighting fires. College of the Redwoods has already held the class for hundreds of vendors before and they expect more to seek training for the upcoming fire season.
