HUMBOLDT- A new browser-based app launched this week is helping residents and visitors alike explore California's more than 11,000 parks.

CaliParks is the state's first park finder application developed by stamen design. The app pulls from social media, the California Protected Areas Database, GreenInfo Network and online trip planner technology allowing users to plan park adventures and share those experiences with friends.

The app is still undergoing testing and refinement but you can access it's first version by going to caliparks.org. The application is bilingual accommodating both English and Spanish speakers.
