On Friday, August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be training scenarios taking place near Commercial and 4th streets in Eureka. The scenarios are part of the College of the Redwoods Crime Scene Investigators Course:
Casino gives over 100K to local non-profits helping low income families
BLUE LAKE- The Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe handed out $108,000 to local non-profits for groups assisting children and homeless families. Philanthropist Betty Chinn and the local Toys For Tots Chapter were the largest recipients of the Holiday Gift drive.
The tribe has been collecting donations from the community since October and have given over $650,000 the past five years that the Holiday Gift Drive has been around.
Toys For Tots Received just over $77,000 that Gregg Gardiner, from Toys For Tots, said will help serve children in Humboldt County with quality gifts this holiday.
