College of the Redwoods considering reducing number of trustees
EUREKA- The College of the Redwoods Board of Trustees will consider reducing the number of board members on Tuesday.
CR President and Superintendent Kathy Smith has recommended to the board that they reduce the number from nine to eight. The college has been working to reduce the number for a year. If approved, the community college would need to be redistricted.
Smith said the change would reduce costs for the college by reducing the number of stipends and health benefits paid to trustees.
