College of the Redwoods holds 27th annual Science Night
EUREKA- Families from around Humboldt County came to College of the Redwoods for a night of fun and learning at the 27th annual Science Night on Friday.
Twenty-five exhibits were set up featuring hands-on activities and presentations, all geared toward getting kids excited about science and applied technologies. Science night is College of the Redwood’s biggest event of the year, with thousands of people who attended. One of the most popular exhibits is Bubble Magic, where kids get encased in life-size bubbles. Also, dozens of reptiles were on display at the Reptoreum.
"Science and technology have become such an important part of our lives that I think exposing young people to science and technology as early as possible I think will help them to be better prepared as they get older and it's a lot of fun," said Kevin Yokoyama, who is a Math Professor at College of the Redwoods.
