College of the Redwood's Trustees to travel to Fort Bragg Monday
FORT BRAGG- College of the Redwood Board of Trustees will travel four hours south on Monday to meet with the community in Fort Bragg to discuss the future of the instructional site. The meeting will be held at noon at the Fort Bragg town Hall.
On Feb. 4th the board listened to community members concerns over suspending instruction at the instructional site for the upcoming 2014-15 school year. President Kathy Smith recommended that the board close the site while the district balances their upcoming budget.
Enrollment at the site has declined over the years. Fewer lifelong learning classes have been offered as the state has refocused classes toward transferable courses. The trustees will listen to community members concerns over the site and discuss possible alternatives.
Do you agree with the new state law that allows underage students studying wine and beer production to taste their homework?
