HUMBOLDT COUNTY- After a 45-day review period the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted against giving more time to the Planning Commission and instead choosing to move forward with the review process of the General Plan.
At January’s GPU meeting the board voted 3 to 2 to remand the conservation and open space elements back to the commission, giving them a 45-day window to review and make changes to 13 policies.
However, the commission submitted a letter to the board indicating that although good progress was made, they were unable to complete the task of reviewing all policies within the allotted timeline.
Only six of the 13 policies were complete. The board chose to move forward with its review and will not send the elements back to the planning commission.
