Community meeting to be held for renovations of Jefferson Park in Eureka
EUREKA- Community members are being asked to give their input for the renovation of Jefferson Park.
One third of the park, in the area where the basketball courts are, is going to be renovated by volunteers with the Westside Community Improvement Association at the end of August. Bocce ball courts, a mural, picnic tables, and planters will be installed. The chain link fence along A Street will also be removed and the existing basketball courts will be configured into a collegiate sized court.
At Wednesday’s meeting, people from the neighborhood are encouraged to attend and give their input. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Community Meeting Room of the Jefferson Community Center, located at 1000 B Street in Eureka.
