Convicted felon arrested in Redway
REDWAY - A convicted felon was arrested after law enforcement found him intoxicated and in possession of a firearm. Taken into custody was 49-year old Clitton Schilling.
Tuesday, just after 9 pm, sheriff’s deputies responded to the 400-block of Par Avenue in Redway. They found Schilling heavily intoxicated and wearing a holster that was empty on his belt. It was determined the suspect hid the firearm and after a search, a Colt 357 magnum revolver was found in an interior wall.
Schilling was booked into the Humboldt County jail for public intoxication and a felon in possession of a firearm. Bail was set at $50,000.
