On Friday, August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be training scenarios taking place near Commercial and 4th streets in Eureka. The scenarios are part of the College of the Redwoods Crime Scene Investigators Course:
Coroner ID’s body found in Humboldt Bay
EUREKA- The body that was recovered from Humboldt Bay on Monday has been identified. The man was 59-year-old Chester Bighead, a resident of Eureka. Bighead was found floating in the bay at the foot of Commercial Street. There is no indication at this time whether or not foul play was a factor, or how long the Bighead was in the water. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to determine the exact cause of death.
