The court disposition for the suspected driver of a fatal hit and run in Orleans this winter was pushed back in court for the second time on Thursday. Sean Forrest Hawk sat in court today awaiting his disposition. His attorney told the court that they were close to coming to an anticipated resolution of the case.
Hawk is the suspect in a case that resulted in the death of Virgil Martin. Hawk allegedly hit Martin Feb. 10th while driving on Hwy. 96 in Orleans and fleeing the scene. Law enforcement looked for Hawk and found him two weeks later walking along the highway is Siskiyou County.
Hawk is being charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and fleeing the scene, which he plead not guilty for.
The disposition is set for Nov. 14.
