North Coast - It was the second day of crab season and the delectable delicacies were getting to retail shelves and available to the public.
The word on the street is that the crab is in wonderful shape but the numbers aren’t as good as trap setters were hoping for. The weather hasn’t been cooperating very much which some have said has been an issue. But, the season is still early and hopes are high for a bountiful year. Mark McCulloch of Mr. Fish was glad the season started on time this year and hopes there will be plenty for Christmas.
Only time will tell whether experts qualify the season as truly successful. But for now, the crab is in and the eating is delicious.
