Crescent City burglar sentenced to nine years behind bars
CRESCENT CITY - A man who burglarized a home in Lake Earl this year has been sentenced to nine years in state prison, the maximum time allowed by law.
Donald Webb committed first degree residential burglary January 8 when he and an accomplice broke into an elderly woman’s home on Lower Lake Road. During the incident, the woman confronted the two males with a gun and they fled, taking with them some items from the home.
A jury found Webb guilty in November and the accomplice pled guilty before the trial.
The Del Norte District Attorney’s office did not make a plea offer because the maximum punishment was sought.
