CRESCENT CITY- Water rates are set to increase in Crescent City. The City Council met Monday, and voted to increase rates by 60-percent.
However, before they move forward the council is required to hold a public meeting where residents can voice their opinion. According to the staff report, monthly water rates would increase by $3.79 in 2014, and continue to increase till 2017. City officials say the increase is necessary in order to maintain operation cost.
The public hearing will be held on November 4th at the city’s regular council meeting.
