Defense motions to dismiss counts in Jason Warren case
EUREKA- A motion to dismiss three of the four counts against the man who allegedly stabbed a Hoopa woman and ran over a jogger in Freshwater will be continued.
Jason Warren appeared in court Tuesday afternoon. He is facing two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing and killing Dorothy Ulrich inside of her Hoopa home and then running down three joggers on Myrtle Ave. near Freshwater.
In Feb. the defense filed a motion for the judge to dismiss counts two through four, which is the felony murder charge in the death of jogger Suzanne Seemann and the two attempted murders of the other joggers running with her.
The defense believes Warren was held to answer on those charges without probable cause. The judge will make his ruling on the matter on March 13. Stay with KIEM News Channel 3 for the latest.
