CRESCENT CITY - In just one month, Del Norte County Airport travelers could be without flights.
Sky West has proposed to stop all flights April 6th and this would leave the airport without air transportation for five months, until Pen Air steps in as the new airline September 15th. Sky West’s contract with the airport officially ends on July 31st, but the airline says they want to pull flights early because they are retiring their fleets. The Department of Transportation has issued a hold-in for the airline to stay through the contract date. We'll have more on this story as it develops.
