Del Norte supes pass resolution in support of Jefferson State
DEL NORTE COUNTY- The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution in support of separation from the state of California at Tuesday’s meeting.
According to Supervisor Roger Gitlin, it was a 3-2 vote. An advisory measure now will officially be placed on the June 3rd ballot, asking voters if they would like to separate from California and join Jefferson State. This is an advisory vote only, meaning its purpose is to gather general voter opinion. The results in no manner have control over the Del Norte County Board of Supervisors.
A public information meeting in regards to Jefferson State will be held Thursday in the supervisor’s chamber at 3 p.m.
