BLUE LAKE- Dell'Arte International has awarded ten grants to local artists to create art projects in Blue Lake. The $500 grant will help each artists to create projects like public art, live events, workshops and civic improvement projects within the town.

The projects include a winner looking to create a music video in town and another wishing to decorate a manhole cover that represents the center of the universe in the middle of town.

Dell'Arte decided to give the money to artists directly after the organization received a grant from Artplace America. All the projects are scheduled to be completed by the start of the Mad River Festival. The City of Blue Lake has agreed to partner with the arts organization and waive permit fees for the projects.

Organizers plan to award grants again in 2015.
