Deputies believe Bridgeville man shoots dog, throws him into truck
BRIDGEVILLE- A Bridgeville man was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies said that he shot his dog.
It happened around 2 p.m. when witnesses said Curt Chamberlain, 32 was yelling and screaming at his Rottweiler and then heard several gunshots fired shortly after. Officials said Chamberlain then took off in his ford truck where he was later found parked in front of the Swains Flat Outpost. The dog was found shot in the back of his truck with what appeared to be a shotgun wound. Deputies said the dog survived, as for Chamberlain he was taken to the Humboldt County Jail and charged with pubic intoxication, cruelty to an animal, and a misdemeanor warrant for public intoxication.
