DNA test likely to link ID to remains found near Dinsmore
EUREKA- The Humboldt County Coroner's Office is waiting on DNA tests to identify the skeletal remains found in Dinsmore in mid July.
Deputy Coroner Roy Horton said the testing could take months. He said the department is focusing on one person, who's DNA has been collected from relatives. Horton said an anthropologist assisted in identifying the remains to determine the height and sex of the person.
The remains were found by hikers near Dinsmore in a waterway and are believed to be a missing person.
