On Friday, August 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. there will be training scenarios taking place near Commercial and 4th streets in Eureka. The scenarios are part of the College of the Redwoods Crime Scene Investigators Course:
DNSO: Working Hash Lab discovered inside Del Norte home
DEL NORTE COUNTY- Two people were arrested after authorities discovered a working hash lab and extensive marijuana grow operation in Crescent City.
Early Friday morning authorities with the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office Felony Investigating Unit, served a search warrant in the 300 Block of Elk Valley Road.
51-year-old Brian Schlam of Crescent City and 23-year-old Jordan Brooks of Fountain Valley, California are now facing charges for manufacturing a controlled substance. During the investigation, deputies found dozens of butane cans, hash, hash oil, and two firearms. All together authorities estimate about $44,000 dollars of hash was seized, including several more thousand dollars of marijuana.
