Double Murder Suspect Trial Expected To Be Delayed
Double murder suspect, Bodhi Tree's, lawyer said they are likely to make a motion to push the trial date back. In court Monday the judge was informed that Tree had a new lawyer, because his previous lawyer suffered from a heart attack. Tree's lawyer requested more time to review the case.
Tree plead not guilty in a previous hearing. He is the suspect in the death of two Arcata residents in May, and the alleged attempted murder of a man in Eureka a few days earlier.
Tree faces the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
His jury trial was set to start in December.
Will the judge's decision on California's 10-day waiting period make a difference in gun related violence?
