FORTUNA- The City of Fortuna is moving forward with its plans to put a trail along Strongs Creek.

A master draft plan has been completed for the John Campbell Memorial Greenway and Strongs Creek Trail. It’s a 1.6-mile project that would connect the Eel River to the Headwaters Forest. City officials said it will provide recreational and commuter access for pedestrian and bicyclists.

The public has been involved in the planning process since day one. With the master draft plan complete, the city is once again looking for community input. The public comment period is open until April 17th.
