Driver in Monday's crash at Bayshore Mall arrested for DUI
The driver in Monday night’s crash at the Bayshore Mall has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Eureka police said 50-year-old James Calvin Norris was driving a white van and crashed into a tree next to the Kohl’s department store around 7 p.m.
Witnesses told police that they saw Norris driving recklessly prior to the crash. He was arrested for driving under the influence and then released for his injuries and transported to Saint Joseph Hospital. Norris also had a female passenger and she was also transported to the hospital.
Eureka Police said they would continue to investigate the crash.
