Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are looking for the driver in a fatal hit and run accident. The driver reportedly left the scene after allegedly hitting a pedestrian with their full sized truck on the Humboldt Hill Road on-ramp at 10 p.m. Sunday.
CHP Public Information Officer Matt Harvey said it is essential for the driver to come forward to piece together the details of the accident. "We need to know exactly what happened that night," said Harvey.
According to the CHP, the truck is described as a white, lifted, full-size truck with tool boxes on the side. The pedestrian's name has not been released yet but is known to be a 33 year old male from Eureka. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and died as a result of his injuries.
